Hypnagogia
Dear Friends, I had intended to post something substantial tonight, but it is not to be. While I type, my head is literally nodding and lurching as I fight off sleep. I am drifting along the liminal shallows between the sands of consciousness and the deep of slumber, no longer certain whether the fantastical creatures I am seeing are real or surreal.
Alas, I must away. A polychromatic hyrax in a coracle is rowing me out to sea...

holy moly, even when you're falling asleep you're more coherent and eloquent than i am! ;-) sleep well.
If self-description is a guide Mr. Go-Go just may be Mr. Everyman B.C.
Styx!!!! Great song, really classic.
But I do like this introduction to Olivia Tremor Control. Thanks for that.
You have been quite busy...Hope you are well, hope you get some rest. :)
But I want the Cartman version of "Come Sail Away"!!
What a wonderful treat it was to listen to Come Sail Away! It was my grad song way back when.
Oh my - that was an age-revealing comment, wasn't it?
Hi Fil,
I love that you use big fancy words even when you're sleepy. I have no idea what a handful of 'em mean.
As for the music: I'm with Natsthename; nothing beats Cartman's Come Sail Away! To reveal MY age (as if it's a secret), I used to could sing it EXACTLY like him. :)
I think that all sort of rhymed. ;)
...
I hope you're well.
I hope your family’s well.
I hope you find the time to rest, and write. :)
Happy Sunday, Fil!

Sigh, I've only just realized I never replied to all of your lovely comments. Bad FiL, naughty FiL...
Dearest mjrc: Eloquent? I fear it's just the random firings of neurons...
Mr B&H: As a recent immigrant, I thank you for that!
Dearest Rachel: It's curious. I can't say I'm a fan at ALL of classic rock - I mean, that's why the Punk Wars wewre fought, n'est-ce pas? Nevertheless, there are a handful of such songs that have burrowed their way into my good favour, "Come Sail Away" being one of them. On another note, I love the name Olivia Tremor Control.
Hi Library Mama! Hope the memories it brought back were pleasant. And I'm more convinced than ever that physical age is irrelevant...
Dearest Nats: Ah, but it's the old skool version that kicks it for me...
Dearest Ash: *Squeal of joy* Ooh, what would it take to get you to sing it for us?? Do tell, please please pleasepleaseplease...
