A Reckoning

Last night's tally:

Two whisky sours
Two gin & tonics
Three glasses of white wine (Sumac Ridge Sauvignon Blanc, yum yum!)
One calvados
Three beers
One double Jack Daniels

Went to bed at 4:00 AM, woke up at 7:30 AM, attended a presentation at 8:00 AM.

And I suspect tonight will be the same. So time for a nap...

P.S. It's pissing down outside, and I'm chortling at the thought of those out on the green worshiping the god of golf...

That you can remember what you drank is probably a good sign..

I reckon FiL was making notes of what he drank just so he could tell us. ;) I wonder whether after all that booze he had a voice like the one he does in the pirate intro this week? Arrrrgggh!

Sumac Ridge? I thought you said they were trying to impress you. Stick to Quail's Gate, Gray Monk or Mt. Boucherie in the future and you won't get a hangover... probably. Maybe. OK, yes you will still get one but it will be a better quality hangover ;-)

You can't be serious, FiL! Can you? Mais c'est prodigieux! You must have a superhuman cast-iron stomach. I would've been schlumped out by the potted plant before the calvados even arrived.

Marvellous.

Good Lord...that's a lot of alcohol.

(crickets chirping)

I sincerely hope you haven't passed out in an ice sculpture somewhere.

Take care, and enjoy the fancy holiday. :)

Happy Thursday,
~ Ash

Oh the shame! I'm no longer able to drink you under the table!

I guess I'll have to settle for being able to eat more pizza boxes than you!

OMG! What a combo. I can't mix boozes or I get tipsy and start licking people.

Are you coming to our DJ night in NYC?!?!?

I've been very, very bad at responding to your kind comments, so grovel grovel...

Dearest Merz, I fear not rich and not at all famous. But I'm sure that one day you & I will get the chance to raise a glasss together...

Dearest JaG, indeed they were!!

Dearest Simone, how lovely to see you! I actually stay fairly lucid most of the time on the (now very rare) occasions that I'm drunk. Only time my mind erases is if tequila is involved...

Dearest Tim, I refer you to Dearest Marcy's comment. And yes, the old vocal cords were a bit rough!

Dearest Ally, you are obviously made of sterner stuff than I am. And you are most welcome!

Dearest Mentok, I quite like Sumac Ridge... Though Blasted Church so far is my favourite.

Hi Ed! Hair of the dog is what I counsel!!

Dearesht Colin, have yoo been drinking too?

Dearest Beesh, I think of it as training for the reunion bash...

Dearest Ash, fret not, I did not become part of the glacial decoration. But if I had, all the booze would have kept my blood flowing while encased.

Dearest Eliot, next time we meet up, let's rent a zombie flick, mix up a drum of fortified grape kool aid, and order out for a half-dozen Dominos boxes!!

Dearest Bryce, that is a most interesting reaction! And yes, I am! As is Dearest Bishakh! I can't wait!!!

Dearest Marcy, well, almost everything... ;-)

Dearest Darth Toad, I am honoured by your praise, O Dark Lord...
